Service Description

By the end of the workshop, participants will have polished lacquer beads, showcasing their craftsmanship and understanding of this ancient art form. Hands-on Experience: Participants will get hands-on experience in the intricate process of polishing lacquer beads, guided by experienced artisans. Traditional Techniques: Learn the traditional techniques passed down through generations, connecting with the rich cultural heritage of Chinese lacquer craftsmanship. Cultural Significance: Explore the cultural and historical significance of lacquer art in China, with a specific focus on the revered rhinoceros hide lacquer, often considered a Chinese national treasure. IMPORTANT NOTE: Lacquer materials may contain allergens that can trigger reactions in some individuals. This workshop does not include direct lacquer application but only polishing dried lacquer. We will provide gloves, masks, and aprons if needed. Our priority is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
