Chánhuā, also known as "Twining Flower," is a traditional craft of making artificial flowers using materials such as silk thread, cardboard, and metal wire. It is mainly popular in regions like Taiwan and Fujian, and there are similar intangible cultural heritage projects in Hubei as well. Traditional chánhuā is often used for ancestral worship, weddings, and home decorations, with different patterns and styles reflecting local customs and traditions. Today, chánhuā is experiencing a revitalisation with efforts from various parties. It is a suitable choice for handicraft enthusiasts who want to explore the world of traditional flower making, although mastering the technique can be challenging. Learning chánhuā allows one to appreciate the beauty of handicraft art and experience the charm of traditional culture. By preserving and developing the skill of chánhuā, we can protect and pass down this essential intangible cultural heritage, while also contributing to creating unique artistic pieces. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy To ensure fair use of limited workshop spaces and to cover preparation and administrative costs, the following policy applies: Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the class start time are eligible for a 50% refund of the course fee. Cancellations made between 48 and 72 hours before the class start time are not refundable, but one free rescheduling may be offered, subject to availability. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the class start time are not refundable due to short-notice preparation and operational costs. Any rescheduling requested within this period will incur a £50 rescheduling fee, representing a reasonable administrative and preparation charge. All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be made by contacting the workshop directly.
