JEWELLERY METALWORK LONG COURSE Course Information Total Duration: 24 hours Structure: 8 sessions × approx. 3 hours Completion Period: Within 2 months Price: £1200 This course introduces the fundamental techniques of jewellery metalwork. Students will learn how to work with copper and develop essential hand skills used in traditional jewellery making. Participants will practice sawing, filing, forming, soldering and surface finishing while creating a range of small jewellery pieces. The course focuses on building confidence with metalworking tools and understanding the basic workflow of jewellery fabrication. By the end of the course, students will complete several finished pieces depending on the complexity and level of detail chosen. Course Content Session 1 – Introduction to Metalwork Learn about basic jewellery tools and safety procedures. Session 2 – Sawing and Piercing Practice using a jeweller’s saw to cut shapes from metal. Session 3 – Filing and Shaping Learn to refine edges and shape metal components. Session 4 – Forming and Bending Explore techniques for shaping metal into curved forms. Session 5 – Soldering Learn basic soldering techniques for joining metal parts. Session 6 – Surface Textures Create different surface textures using hand tools. Sessions 7–8 – Final Projects Develop personal jewellery pieces and refine techniques. Cancellation Policy
Short Course Package Policy By purchasing a short course package, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Package Validity All short course packages must be completed within the learning period specified in the course description. Any unused sessions after the validity period will automatically expire and cannot be refunded or extended. Booking & Scheduling All sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to studio availability. Classes operate on an appointment basis only. Students are responsible for arranging and completing their sessions within the package validity period. Cancellation & Rescheduling If you need to cancel or reschedule a booked session, please notify the studio at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time. • Requests made more than 48 hours in advance may be rescheduled without penalty. • Requests made within 48 hours of the class start time may result in the session being counted as used. • Requests made within 24 hours of the class start time, or failure to attend (no-show), will be counted as a completed session. Refund Policy Course packages are non-refundable once purchased. In exceptional circumstances, the studio may review refund requests at its discretion. Transferability Packages are non-transferable and may only be used by the original purchaser unless otherwise agreed by the studio. Materials & Tools Essential materials and studio tools provided as part of the course are intended for use during class sessions only and remain the property of the studio unless otherwise stated. Studio Rights The studio reserves the right to adjust schedules, instructors, or course arrangements when necessary. In the event that a class is cancelled by the studio, the session will be rescheduled at no additional cost. Student Work & Collection Completed pieces should be collected within a reasonable time after the course ends.
