Service Description
Course Information Total Duration: 50 hours Structure: 10 sessions × approx. 5 hours Completion Period: Within 3 months Price: £1000 This course introduces the essential techniques of wax carving for jewellery making. Students will learn how to shape wax, create textures, hollow structures and refine surfaces using professional carving tools. Course Content Session 1 – Shaping & Hollowing Shape wax into smooth spherical forms, practice texture making, hollowing and surface polishing. Session 2 – Ring Making Create a wax ring and learn ring structure, texturing and polishing techniques. Session 3 – Relief Carving Create a semi-relief carving based on a chosen theme and practice layered carving techniques. Session 4 – Three-Dimensional Carving Sculpt a three-dimensional form based on reference drawings or models. Session 5 – Soft Wax Modelling Learn to use wax sheets and red wax, control thickness and explore organic shaping. Session 6 – Sculpting from Objects Analyse everyday objects and reinterpret them as wax models. Sessions 7–10 – Independent Project Develop personal wax carving projects with guidance and complete multiple wax models ready for casting. Cancellation Policy
Short Course Package Policy By purchasing a short course package, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Package Validity All short course packages must be completed within the learning period specified in the course description. Any unused sessions after the validity period will automatically expire and cannot be refunded or extended. Booking & Scheduling All sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to studio availability. Classes operate on an appointment basis only. Students are responsible for arranging and completing their sessions within the package validity period. Cancellation & Rescheduling If you need to cancel or reschedule a booked session, please notify the studio at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time. • Requests made more than 48 hours in advance may be rescheduled without penalty. • Requests made within 48 hours of the class start time may result in the session being counted as used. • Requests made within 24 hours of the class start time, or failure to attend (no-show), will be counted as a completed session. Refund Policy Course packages are non-refundable once purchased. In exceptional circumstances, the studio may review refund requests at its discretion. Transferability Packages are non-transferable and may only be used by the original purchaser unless otherwise agreed by the studio. Materials & Tools Essential materials and studio tools provided as part of the course are intended for use during class sessions only and remain the property of the studio unless otherwise stated. Studio Rights The studio reserves the right to adjust schedules, instructors, or course arrangements when necessary. In the event that a class is cancelled by the studio, the session will be rescheduled at no additional cost. Student Work & Collection Completed pieces should be collected within a reasonable time after the course ends.
